This project began when Hennegin Printing Company requested a quote for a tri-fold book to contain a booklet, greeting cards and a music CD. We designed and made a prototype, which they liked, and incorporated a few requested changes, such as adding a black vine and leaf detail on the black cover.The material used for the product was "Matador" a black solid core paper with a very nice 'soft-skin touch' from Ecological Fibers. The black on black design is understated yet elegant. 350 of these were made for American Greetings and included some of Taylor Swift's line of greeting cards and a Taylor Swift CD. many of these were autographed by Taylor Swift at a benefit event where she also performed.
- The leaf and vine design was embossed in black foil on the soft black covers for an elegant tone on tone design.
- Taylor Swift's autograph and the American Greetings logo is embossed in a coppery gold foil on the front cover.
- The design features a turned edge pocket with a (curved) radius, which takes it a step above the ordinary.
- Turned edge die cut pockets hold the greeting cards and CD with a black ribbon pull to ease removal of the CD.
- The cases were completely hand made.
