Meet Our Creative Team The Centennial Story
Why Choose Centennial?
The personal touch of Old-World craftsmanship is what sets Centennial Graphics Group apart. For generations, the Centennial team has been working as ‘paper architects’ in various disciplines. The handcrafted skills, creative publishing acumen and master bookbinding techniques acquired over several decades have forged the guiding principles we share in a variety of divisions which serve the publishing and bindery industry. As a custom bindery, Centennial utilizes traditional methods of book binding to achieve a handcrafted quality that will ensure years of enjoyment. The patriarch of the company, Hugo Grummich was commissioned by the Smithsonian and the Vatican to restore and bind rare books.
Specialty boxes are a natural creative extension for Centennial. Utilizing casebinding materials and book binding techniques enable our production staff to create a custom solution to a Specialty Box dilemma. Diploma covers are another important division within Centennial. High schools, universities, and colleges award a diploma to their graduates. This diploma must convey the quality and heritage that the school wishes to portray. Often, this is the only tangible reminder of a student’s achievement. Centennial takes tremendous pride in the quality that goes into each customized diploma cover. The personal touch and handcrafted quality speak volumes in a very elegant presentation portfolio which students keep for a lifetime. Schools on tight curriculum budgets have utilized another strategic division within Centennial, the textbook repair and restoration division. By repairing experienced textbooks with a fresh casebound textbook cover and a fresh margin cut, years of useful life can be extended at a fraction of the cost of a new book.
Centennial has its roots in publishing as well. Our custom publishing division is one of our larger operations and publishing awards from every sector follow our publishing staff at nearly every project. Centennial’s Publisher Services are specialized to do exactly that--serve publishers. From serial periodical binding to casebound specialty binding, we know the needs of publishers and can provide much needed assistance in their bindery concerns.
So whether your ‘paper architect’ requirements are for a book binding project, or a specialty box that needs a personal touch, or a custom publishing project which requires a creative flair, or if you are a school in dire need of a visit from the book doctor to repair a seasoned set of textbooks, Centennial Graphics Group is ready to give.
